I’m Barb & I’m quite new to IE but it’s making sense to me & increasing my awareness of so much! I’m both observing & beginning to practice listening to my body—what freedom!!

Welcome Barb. If there is one section of the IE book that gets glossed over its the IE Stages chapter. Its SO HARD to allow ourselves to not 'do' IE all at once, but instead in stages. That is an example of how diet mentality remains in hold of us - all those dieting RULES!! Well IE has NO RULES, only suggested principles that one can use as guidelines towards behaviors that support and please our bodies.

I appreciate you sharing this with me & I will keep reviewing the Stages in the IE book. It’s been an eye opener to start recognizing how ingrained diet mentality is!! I’m encouraged that I’m becoming aware of that & even a tiny bit aware of my natural intuition about feeding my body. I’m very much ok with this taking time & aiming for progress not perfection. 😊
I get the Ie concept. My struggle is I am type 2 and making all foods safe does not work to control my glucose. I spike with any play foods I have have tried to habituate. Any others struggle with this to implement the IE principles?
