Sydney is a Master’s degree level counselor in clinical internship through the University of Northern Iowa. Utilizing techniques from Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and ACT, Sydney is able to support and guide you towards living more genuinely and authentically. She provides a warm and welcoming space to explore your past patterns, emotions, and behaviors while moving towards your future goals. She sees individuals, teenagers, young adults, and adults. Sydney works collaboratively with you in the session to develop a treatment plan that fits your unique needs. She offers opportunities for reflection and insight, while teaching and practicing skills for change. No issue is too big or small for her counseling room. From everyday troubles to mental health diagnoses, Sydney is ready to meet you where you are at. Providing weekend and after work sessions at sliding scale prices is just one of the ways she accommodates busy schedules. She has received training in Motivational Interviewing, Enneagram Types, Attachment Styles, DBT, and continues to seek out learning opportunities to ensure her clients receive up to date treatments and evidence based practices. Sydney is certified in Inuititve Eating. She has a special focus on anxiety, depression, body image, self esteem, perfectionism, binge eating disorder, and your relationship with food overall. Sydney respects and uplifts each person's unique background and experiences.
