I show people how their food cravings are actually helping them, not hurting them, by working with a framework that looks at cravings a little differently. Not as moral or emotional reactions or something to fix, but as meaningful signals the body is using to communicate a need, in a similar way as hunger does. By adding food cravings as a focus alongside hunger and fullness cues, to my coaching sessions, my goal is that food stress truly ends for every client. I really feel that this is the missing link to help clients who understand intuitive eating and their eating patterns, but still feel stuck. Because for many people, I've seen that sometimes hunger and fullness are not always clear, especially when a need" (craving) still lingers. As an Intuitive Eating Coach for over a decade, it's core principles stay a guiding light for me in my approach to nutrition coaching, as well as with my personal relationship with food. My Nutrition Counseling approach prioritizes clients' positive actions over perceived mistakes, while exploring non-food-related aspects like body image, HAES principles, nervous system regulation, and self-perception. Guiding clients to give themselves full permission to have fulfilling eating experiences is what makes me most excited. I completely reject Dieting culture in favor of Intuitive and Mindful Eating practices, fostering a supportive environment for my clients to explore their relationship with food and themselves.
