Hi, I'm Korie (she/her)! I'm a middle school teacher turned Intuitive Eating Counselor. After living a life tarnished by diet culture and watching my friends, family, students, and colleagues fall prey to restriction, comparison, and an obsession with food... I decided that enough is enough. I'm passionate about helping people love themselves and I feel best when the people around me are shining. I'm your hype girl, your enthusiastic counselor, and your go-to for all things Intuitive Eating and diet culture recovery. Aside from all of that, at my core, I'm pretty sure I'm made up of a love for dogs, iced coffee, Gilmore Girls, and British comedy television, and I'm a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I'm into astrology (Leo Sun/Taurus Moon/Capricorn Rising at your service!) and my version of a higher power is a quiet morning with a cup of coffee, my journal, and a great playlist. I value authenticity, humor, and a good organizational system. I love to constantly learn from professionals in their field, especially if those professionals are Black, Latine, trans, fat, or disabled. I'm aware of my privilege and I want to center marginalized voices. Most importantly, I want to help you recover from what ails you, whether that's a lifetime of dieting, disordered eating habits, an obsession with food, weight, and movement, or a seemingly endless comparison spiral. I believe that you're worthy of living an embodied life exactly as you are - no changes, no addenda, and certainly no more input from diet culture.
