I am a Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I utilize a non-diet, and Health at Every Size® (HAES®) approach. In my work with individuals, I provide individualized nutrition education, guidance for incorporating structure and consistency into your eating, gentle accountability, and compassionate support as you work to shift your relationship with food and your body. I decided to become a registered dietitian because I knew I wanted to help individuals repair their relationship with food. When I was quite young, I recognized the harm dieting does, and I knew I wanted to help people learn how to nourish their bodies while abandoning the mindset that our bodies must change in order to fit cultural ideals of beauty and health. I honor the fact that healthy bodies come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and I believe the diversity of human bodies is part of what makes us unique and beautiful! I earned my bachelor of science in dietetics with a specialization in health promotion from Michigan State University (go green!). Throughout my career as a registered dietitian, I have had the honor of working alongside kids/parents, teens and adults experiencing a wide variety of disorder eating issues, including chronic dieting, restriction, binging, purging, over-exercising, picky eating, and ARFID. I have experience providing nutrition care in a wide variety of eating disorder treatment settings including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, and inpatient levels of care. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two amazing daughters and a crazy mini-bernedoodle. As a family we enjoy camping, skiing, and traveling, especially visiting national parks. In my free time I can be found gardening, reading in my hammock, going on walks in nature, and watching reruns of Gilmore Girls with my daughters.
