My name is Katie, and I’m a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor providing province-wide virtual therapy to clients across Ontario. Based in the Greater Toronto Area, I support adults and young adults (18+) through a compassionate, thoughtful, and individualized approach to care. I combine clinical training, lived experience, and evidence-based interventions to meet clients where they are. I strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where people can explore challenges, build insight, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them. While I draw from several therapeutic modalities, my work is primarily informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and self-compassion–based approaches. I also offer Intuitive Eating counselling for individuals looking to heal their relationship with food and body, step away from diet culture, and reconnect with internal cues in a more sustainable and respectful way. I practice through a feminist-informed lens, recognizing the impact of social, cultural, and systemic factors on mental health, identity, and well-being. This perspective helps me have authentic conversations around power, expectations, body image, and self-worth, while supporting clients in developing agency, values-based action, and self-trust. My areas of focus include mood and anxiety concerns, disordered eating and body image, attachment and interpersonal relationships, life transitions, and work or school-related stress. I have a particular interest in working with perfectionists and people pleasers, healthcare workers, and current and former athletes. Outside of my clinical work, you’ll often find me curled up with a really good romance novel, testing new recipes, spending time with family, or volunteering with survivors of sports abuse. I welcome clients who are curious about themselves, feeling stuck, or simply looking for support as they navigate a challenging season. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d be glad to connect and explore how we can work together.
