Diana Beck

I’m a licensed psychotherapist and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor based in Santa Monica, California. I specialize in working with adults navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and complicated relationships with food and their bodies. My approach is curious, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I help clients understand the experiences, beliefs, and patterns that have shaped their relationship with food and body, while learning to recognize and respond to their own internal cues. My work integrates Intuitive Eating with DBT, somatic awareness, attachment-based therapy, and psychoeducation, allowing us to explore both the emotional and behavioral aspects of eating and body image. I’m particularly interested in helping clients untangle rigid food rules, diet culture, shame, and patterns of disconnection from the body. I also explore how social media, cultural messages, and the ways we have been socialized can shape what we believe about food, health, appearance, and our bodies. Our work is not about replacing one set of rules with another. It is about developing greater awareness, flexibility, and trust in yourself so that decisions around food and your body can become less governed by fear, guilt, comparison, or external expectations.
