Casey Conroy is a non-diet dietitian and naturopath who works from a weight inclusive, non-diet, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approach. She supports people who are struggling with disordered eating, food rules, body image concerns, chronic dieting, digestive symptoms, hormonal concerns, and feeling disconnected from their bodies. Casey is of mixed Chinese and Australian heritage, and brings an awareness of the ways culture, identity, family, body ideals and dominant Western ideas about health can shape our relationships with food and our bodies. She is particularly interested in the overlap between disordered eating and the wellness world, including orthorexia, compulsive exercise, restrictive “healthy eating,” and the pressure to constantly optimise or control the body. Her work focuses on helping clients rebuild trust with food and their bodies, improve nutritional adequacy, reduce fear and rigidity around eating, and develop a more peaceful and sustainable relationship with health. Casey also has lived experience of recovery from orthorexia and compulsive exercise. Alongside her clinical work, she provides education and training for naturopaths and other natural health practitioners, helping them recognise disordered eating and offer safer, more inclusive care.
