I became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor in 2018. I am so happy to offer the service of IE to my community! I have been working in the realms of birth and health for the past 19 years. I am a Midwifery and Childbirth educator, Registered Yoga Instructor, Ordained Minister, Nutritional Consultant, and facilitator of Transformational Healing Work. In 2009 I graduated from The Matrona’s Midwifery Immersion, while also spending time in Cusco, Peru that year, offering birth services to Indigenous Women. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Midwifery and Women’s Health, and Nutrition from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. I have studied extensively through various workshops and courses with a focus on nutrition, movement and women's health. I am dedicated to bridging different health care communities together, through facilitating women and families during rites of passage such as birth and death. These potent moments bring a new existence into manifestation, and are the crux of being fulfilled, happy and alive! In the realms of transformational studies, I integrate the work of Arnold Mindell and Community Mediation, Mantak Chia and of Stephen Harrod Buhner, to name a few. My commitment to holding space while people find their way to greater expressions of themselves and their lives, is inherent in all the work that I do. From an infant to an elder, these concepts apply to us all. I have spent time in my life working and playing as a Special Education Teacher, Home School Teacher, Nutritionist & Caterer, Postpartum Doula, Midwife, and Board Member to Non-Profits such as Sacred Birthing, Squat Birth Journal, The Matrona Foundation and The Global Leadership Network. I am also the mother to five children, all of whom were born at home. My love of nutrition, cooking, natural health, spirituality and homesteading are integrated into all of my teaching and education.
