Theresa Kinsella

Theresa Kinsella MS, RDN is a registered dietitian, intuitive eating counselor and qualified Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) instructor with nutrition counseling practices in New York, New York, and Annapolis, Maryland. She has been helping adults and adolescents optimize their health and find a healthy relationship with food through individual counseling, small groups, and interactive workshops for over 15 years. In her counseling practice, Theresa primarily helps specializes in eating disorders, chronic dieting, bariatric surgery, sports nutrition and general wellness. Theresa utilizes an evidence-based approach that incorporates not only nutrition science but also assesses and explores each client's connection to the body helping them learn how to identify and respond to internal body cues. In addition, her work assesses self-care behaviors such as sleep, exercise, which impact one's emotional resiliency and capacity to engage in health behaviors. She also incorporates mindfulness practices to help clients build awareness, interrupt habitual patterns and become more attuned to their physical needs. In addition to her private practice, Theresa has also developed and delivers workshops for NASA's leadership development program since 2003 and is a member of the guest teaching faculty at Eating Disorders, Compulsions & Addictions (EDCAS) training program at the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and Psychology in Manhattan.
